Baseball

Landon is truly a big boy! I came home and daddy had purchased all this for him. BJ said, "it is time." Meaning....'he is old enough....I must start teaching my boy how to play baseball.' I love it! I can not wait to sign Landon up for t-ball (which is not for another year), nonetheless I can't wait to attend all his games and practices. I'll be that loud mom cheering in the stands!

My super sweet friend gave me this magazine (you know who you are) and I love it!! Honestly I had never heard of it before. As soon as I saw an advertisement for Karen Kingsbury books inside I knew it must be a great buy. Another cool thing was it asked readers how they spend their Easter. One reader said "going to sunrise service with my family. The little chapel we attend always looks radiant with the sun coming through the stained-glass windows. The old hymns proclaming 'He is risen' echo throughout the church." --- Hey, I'm all for a magazine that allows church to be talked about and christian authors to be promoted!!

Other headlines were -- making fast & tasty LOW-COST meals and try a no-cost room makeover. Great mag and great read. Thought I'd give it a little plug.

Nights in Rodanthe

I'm a major sucker for love stories. I thought because this was by the same author as The Notebook it would be a great movie. I just HAD to rent it tonight (by the way...I do not see movies often at all!). Well I was utterly depressed and irritated because the movie was so about the way the WORLD thinks we should love. I HATE divorce and from the very beginning of the movie it was about Diane Lane's failed marriage. I feel like the point was....WAIT...there is GREAT love in the end -- just seek someone else. Phhhhhlease!! How about making the choice to do the right thing for OTHERS in your life including what GOD would have us to do!!

Sorry to be on such a high horse about this....just thought I'd save some of you the time and effort.

Healing

It is amazing the out-pour of love I have felt since my miscarriage. It has only been a week and I am doing great. Physically I feel better than I have felt in months and emotionally I am stronger each day.

I know without a doubt the prayers and support of my church, family, and friends are to credit. In such a short time I have had more strength and healing then I ever thought possible. I know it is not me, but Christ in me. I can not thank you enough for your love, support, prayers, and stories....they have gotten me through.

God is holding our little angel in His hand and one day we will see her/him. As my mom has said, "she/he was spared the heartache and pain of this world." Isn't that so true!
