It is with great sadness that I inform you of my miscarriage yesterday. I was having major cramping all day. I finally went to the emergency room yesterday evening and the ultrasound discovered no movement, no brain activity, and no heartbeat.
I know God will get us through and I know He has a plan. Please pray for our family as we struggle through this time.
"that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God." Colossians 1:10

My Dad's Visit
My Dad flew in from California on my birthday for 6 days to visit. We had a very nice visit although there was much drama mixed in. Here are a few pictures of "Big Papa" and Landon playing. Landon got new toys, played at Chuck E. Cheese, and spent lots of time with his grandpa. One of the saddest moments was when we came back from dropping Big Papa at the airport and Landon walked into his room and said "where is Big Papa?" He will be missed.

Mallie
Mallie has another home. A couple in Conroe took her and we are so glad. Mallie was a great dog (minus the barking) for 10 years, but it was time to find a better home for her. She now has a family that will take time with her and love her more.
Thank you dad for helping navigate this experience. We couldn't have done it without you!

12 weeks
Here is baby Winter. Isn't he/she so cute! You can see the full body in the top picture. All is well after a huge scare starting Thursday night. We were in the ER Friday for 5 hours to see if we had lost the baby, but all is well!! The placenta was not fully attached. As of this morning at my doctor appointment, they do not see any hemorrhage. It has healed so hopefully we will have no more problem.

Happy Valentine's Day
Love is not dependent on good feelings, but on a consistent and courageous decision to extend oneself for the well-being of another. Isn't this definition so good! It is a decision. We hear it all the time, but do we live it?
Every thing I am involved in is speaking of love and marriage. Here is some great information shared with me recently....
*What you want more of is what you are supposed to give away.
*One of the most fruitful investment you will ever make is your marriage.
*If there are issues in your marriage, you will have much more success in tending to your own shortcomings instead of to his.
*Forget about your own feelings -- choose to love your mate, no matter how you feel.
*Express love to your mate by word or action once each day -- nothing your mate does can stop your love as long as you choose to love.
*Accept in your mate some inperfections that have irritated you for years.
FEW INDIVIDUALS CAN RESIST GENUINE, UNCONDTIONAL LOVE. Start today loving your spouse unconditionally and see what happens :)

Homemade Facials
We had a spa day at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) a week ago and I received some cool facial receipes. I wanted to share....
Papaya Pumpkin Facial:
2/3 cup fresh papaya, mashed
15 oz. can pure pumpkin
1 egg, beaten
1. Cut the papaya in half and scoop out the seeds. Scoop out the papaya fruit and mash it well to eliminate lumps in the mask. Beat the egg until it is frothy. Combine that with the papaya. Add the pumpkin to the egg/papaya mixture and whip together.
2. Wash your face with your daily cleanser and remove all residual makeup on your skin. Rinse with warm water. It's very important to have clean skin to ensure you get maximum benefits from the facial.
3. Apply mask by covering your entire face, being careful to avoid the immediate eye area. You'll feel some tingling as the enzymes in the pumpkin go to work immediately -- gently exfoliating your top layer of skin. It works like a scrub without being abrasive to your skin. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes.
4. After you've relaxed for ten minutes it's time to rinse. The mask is fairly thick -- head for the kitchen sink. Apply toner and moisturizer.
Chocolate Facial Mask:
1/3 cup cocoa powder
3 tbsp. heavy cream
2 tsp. cottage cheese
1/4 cup honey
3 tsp. oatmeal
Mix all together and smooth onto face. Relax 10 minutes then wash off with warm water.
