Ice Skating
It was such a JOY watching Landon ice skate. He absolutely loved it. His smile was from ear to ear the WHOLE time! Aren't these "walker" things hilarious!? He went round and round and each time he would exit the ice like he was going to take a break -- only he would turn back immediately and get back on! I think his brain didn't want to quit, but his body was tired! (I know daddy was tired :))
At bedtime we were talking about the experience. I was telling him what a great job he did. He said, "I didn't do great" -- I said, "why" -- he said, "because I don't want to hold on to "the thing", daddy's hand, your hand, or anyone's hand...I wanted to do it by myself" SO cute! He wanted to skate all by himself with no help -- maybe next year :)

Snow Days & CAN I GET A HEALING??!!
It snowed in Spring/Houston Texas! Can we believe it!!?? It was 32 degrees yesterday and snowed for a couple of hours. It's always a special treat to see snow! As you can see it is a little desperate to be excited over, but we did get to make a mini snowman :) I made chicken and dumplin soup AND stayed in my PJs all day! Yea Winter!
Oh -- why the lemon, honey, and tea? I have had allergy/cold sickness for 2 weeks and I am singing a solo in our Christmas Pageant this weekend (3 nights in a row!). Praise the Lord...last night was the first of 3 nights and all went well.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! We made cookies as a family the other night. Fun leaves! The icing turned out a little pastel -- nonetheless they were delicious :) I hope you are enjoying the holiday season!!
Our family wishes you a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope we can all reflect on the blessings in our lives.

Flag Football
I can't even believe I did this!! I was invited to play flag football with the girls from the church I teach preschool...my initial response was NO! After a little harassing from my 50 year old co-teacher, my curiosity got the best of me -- I played. It was pretty fun!! HOWEVER, the second to last play I was rushing the quarterback and was kneed in the thigh by one of her guards. OUCH! I have no bruise on the outside, but that poor muscle must be pretty bruised on the inside because I'm walking like a gimp!

Mexican Chicken
I so don't have a picture, but a yummy recipe!!!
4 lg chicken breasts
1 stick margarine
1 tbsp chili powder
1 can cream of mushroom
1 medium bell pepper, diced
2 c grated cheddar cheese
1 can rotel, diced
1/2 onion, diced
1tbsp garlic powder
1 can cream of chicken
1 lg bag tortillia chips
Cook chicken then shred. In 13x9 pan, combine broken chips and melted margarine. Leave 1/2 of the chips in the pan and remove the other 1/2 to use as topping later. Place chicken over chips, then mixture of remaining ingredients. Top with the remaining chips. Cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Pumpkin Patch
I absolutely can't believe it is this time again! I can remember posting these photos last year :) We had fun picking out our pumpkins again...I think we are going to skip the "carving and gutting" of them this year. They are so pretty we will just put them on our front door step WHOLE (Landon didn't think that was the best thing ever anyway)! Happy Harvest :)
