It's Fall!!

I absolutely LOVE this time of year. The anticipation of Christmas, cooler weather, school starting... Here are a couple decorations I got from Hobby Lobby (40% off, of course). I LOVE my wreath -- it actually came from Kroger for $20! Cheaper than Hobby Lobby! I hope you are all enjoying the season :)

My Baby is Sick!

My sweety is so sick...it has been 6 days! The doctor says it is viral -- no flu -- and has to take its course. My goodness...when will it end...fever, vomit, no eating or drinking (or very little). Today seemed a little better so SURELY it will be over by tomorrow. School bugs are in full swing!

Awanas (Cubbies)

I am so excited for Landon to be apart of Cubbies this year. It is a club where kids memorize Bible verses and have fun together. I wasn't sure how well he'd do....I have never worked with him on memorizing anything before, but he's done great! He's already memorized 3 verses. They are shorted of course because his class is a three year old class. This is what he has already learned....

....God...loved us, and sent His Son...(1 John 4:10)

..While we were....sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)

I would highly recommend this to all parents. It's a great way for them and YOU to memorize scripture.

Layered Pasta Salad

Who does not love this FREE magazine!!?? This is our dinner tonight....all I have to say is YUMMY :)

3 c med shell pasta, cooked and drained
1 lg red onion, sliced
1 pkg (10oz) frozen peas, thawed and drained
1 pkg smoked ham, chopped
1/2 c mayo
1/2 c ranch dressing
1 c grated cheese
1 c halved grape tomatoes

- Layer first 4 ingredients in clear 3 qt bowl
- Mix mayo, dressing; spread over salad to seal
- Top with cheese and tomatoes
- Refrigerate for several hours; toss gently

Summer's Last Rendezvous

What a great end to our summer! We went to Galveston and YES it WAS nice. The water was abnormally clean and enjoyable :) We were also able to stay at the San Luis (which is my FAVORITE hotel down there). They have redone the pool area making it even nicer! Landon also got to experience the Rain Forest Cafe which is totally cool on the inside, however the food is terrible (he didn't care for the fake swinging monkeys in the trees either -- they were kinda scary). We had a great time as a family and hope to do it again soon!!

Can you imagine having an audible conversation with God!! Even Jeremiah feared. I fear a lot. God does not call us to fear, but to have faith. Trust Him, He knows His children - before we were even born. May I hear His voice and ACT on it. May He give me the words to say always.

In the 21st Century!!

What is up!!! We are officially cooler than cool....we have a laptop! If you know us, we are fruggle and we don't purchase anything with out major justification. Well -- for a few hundred dollars we can have a laptop and now we do! This is the coolest thing ever!!!! Oh happy day :)
